The book will help the participants in the course GMDSS Restricted
Operator’s Certificate to prepare for the Executive Agency „Maritime Administration“ examination, as well as the participants in the Restricted Operator’s Certificate Area A1 for GMDSS, taking into account the relevant limitations in relation to the scope and contents of the learning material, set by the standards.

The contents of the book is in compliance with the recommendations of the International Maritime Organisation (IMO) for training maritime radiospecialists contained in Annex 3 of the International Maritime Organization’s Resolution A.703(17), IMO Model Course 1.25 and the requirements of the International Convention on Standards of Training, Certification and Watchkeeping of Mariners STCW 78/95 as amended by Manila resolution 2010 and Regulation 6 for the competency of maritime personnel of the Republic of Bulgaria of the Ministry of Transport, Information Technologies and Communications. The authors will appreciate all comments, recommendations and remarks concerning the contents and design of the textbook.
